The Whatmore Family at Speke Hall, Liverpool
Only a few individual members of the Whatmore family possessed fine houses - Micklehead Hall, Lancashire, Thornton Hall near Bradford, Watmer Hall near Canterbury and Marshwood House near Wilton being some of these.
