Hi my name is Francis Calvert and this is my blog. My ancestors on both sides of my family originate in Yorkshire mainly around Wakefield, Huddersfield area. My Calvert Line were the owners of a Rope works in Wrenthorpe Called Calvert Rope Works and later on Calvert Brothers. The business was in existence from 1787 to 1962. I hope to put more information about my family history on here in time.
