About Me
Hi, I am Janice and I am an avid genealogist and professional researcher and instructor, who specializes in British Isles, Canada, and U.S. research.
My interest in genealogy began in 1979, when I took an introductory course offered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I completed the Family History Certificate Program (Professional Option) through Brigham Young University and I am an Accredited Genealogist® professional. My geographic area of accreditation is England.
I published a family newsletter for several years, and am the author of Donaghy Family History. I served as the Director of the Calgary Family History Center for four years, and currently I serve at the Center as the Technical Services Coordinator.
Besides genealogy, I enjoy photography, music, painting, orienteering, and most of all, spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren.
