This is a history of the Pottertons in Ireland from the time of the first Thomas Potterton who came to Ireland from Yorkshire and died in 1718. It is based on research in the Irish archives and, as all sources are cited, it is an example of how to trace an Irish family tree. The Pottertons were a Protestant family and lived at Rathcormick, County Meath from about 1710 (they still live there).
