Stanley sibcy

Was born 1930 in Newark, married Marjorie Winifred Watts

Stanley was in the merchant navy for a while then in 1949 joined the Grenadier Guards, I have just recieved copies of his service records which I am sure are very intersting but I will have to try and understand the abbrevations first.

He left in 1954 and he worked in sevral different trades e.g carpentry, plumbing, builder and he actually fitted the first Toni & Guy hairdressers shop in manchester which I found exciting because I myself use to be a hairdresser.

He then took a Job working at strand which got taken over by Scott Barders.

sybsey, sybsay, sibsey, sibsay and sibcy, so confussed

This just gets more confusing the further back you go with this family.

The promblem is there is so many sibcy’s but I don’t know where they belong on the tree. Most people just trace there direct ancestors e.g granparent, gg granparents etc but I found that to easy so I have started to trace there brothers and sisters but mostly the men because they are the ones that carry the family name

Hello world!

I have managed to trace the sibcy family back to 1777 and have now hit a brick wall, I will have so go to nottinghamshire and pick up the research there
