Tuesday 22 October 2019
Society of Genealogists Library and Archives will be open on Tuesday 22nd from 10 am. Registration for cream tea by 3.30 pm.
£20.00 per person for tea, a talk and a tour.

'Tea to the English is really a picnic indoors.' This quote from Alice Walker, the American novelist, is so accurate. When we wondered how you might like to get to know us, we immediately thought of inviting you in for a cup of tea. Not just any cup of tea either – we're offering a traditional, English cream tea. Plus, a chance to meet up with other family historians and get to know the staff and volunteers here at the SoG. You can listen to a talk on the treasures we hold here by our Genealogist, Else Churchill. Plus, in case you feel like a bit of exercise after all that cream tea, there's a tour to show you around the Archives and the Library. Here’s what we plan for the afternoon: 3.30 pm Registration – please come into Reception and we’ll help you find your table. 4.00 pm Seated at your table, you have a chance to say hello to others. You’ll have a lot in common, of course – passionate about family history. 4.15 pm June Perrin, CEO of the Society of Genealogists,
