About the Research Skills Studio

Taking place from 9 to 30 April, the Research Skills Studio online genealogy course costs £109 (or just £69 for Family Tree subscribers or Family Tree Plus members).

Online family history course: BOOK NOW

Join us for Sophie’s four-week online family history Zoom course – the Research Skills Studio – starting 9 April 2024. The online course, tutored by Sophie and hosted by Family Tree, will comprise webinars, group discussions and a digital copy of our brand new family history workbook publication, Sophie’s Research Skills Workbook.

Searching in a methodical manner will help you make the most of your family history time. Equip yourself with the family history tactics you need to research in a more thorough manner, giving you greater insights to the past and the lives of your ancestors, and it will also provide you with a research approach that will maximise your chances of research success, even when you are tackling challenging family history problems.

  • Session 1 (Tuesday 9 Apr. 7.30-9pm): Search Superpowers
  • Session 2 (Tuesday 16 Apr. 7.30-9pm): Mapping Magic
  • Session 3 (Tuesday 23 Apr. 7.30-9pm): Evidence Expeditions
  • Session 4 (Tuesday 30 Apr. 7.30-9pm): Sibling Serendipity

All the sessions will be presented live and the video recordings will be made available within 24 hours of the live session. The recordings will remain available to you until 30 June 2024.

The Research Skills Workbook is also be available as a standalone printed publication priced £20 (£11.99 FT subscribers or members of Family Tree Plus), plus postage.
