How to use sheriff court records for Scottish family history, 10 February

Join expert genealogist Emma Maxwell for a one-hour talk on how to use Sheriff Court records to discover your Scottish ancestors.

Criminal records, marriage contracts and wills are just a few of the treasures that can be found within the Sheriff Court records. Emma will explain what the records are, how to use them in your research, and what is available both online and offline. The one-hour talk will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.
