Join us for the January Family Tree DNA Club webinar, at which AncestryDNA Pro Genealogist Laura House will be tutoring us in the use of diplomacy when using DNA for our family history research.
Laura House works at Ancestry, where she uses DNA to identify the biological parents of adoptees and people with unknown paternity.
As part of her work, she contacts DNA matches, writes letters to living relatives on behalf of her clients, and speaks to people who have questions and concerns about the research process.
Diplomacy and effective communication are important skills in these sensitive situations, and it can be especially difficult to stay calm and collected during emotionally charged conversations.
During this workshop, Laura will share advice and strategies for navigating conversations with DNA matches, new family members, and others you may encounter during your family history journey.
