This year sees Hampshire Genealogical Society celebrate its golden jubilee. To mark this impressive milestone, the society will be holding a jubilee weekend 6 & 7 July 2024.
You do not need to have Hampshire ancestors or connections in order to attend and relish this event. From family history exhibitors, to a family history bookstore, experts from AGRA on hand to help you, and a programme of (you've guessed it!) family history talks and workshops, there will be 2 ideal days out for family history enthusiasts.
Helen Tovey, editor of Family Tree caught up with Fiona Ranger of Hampshire Genealogical Society, to discover what's happening at the forthcoming jubilee.
See the interview below.
[Apologies for the visual quality of the interview, which is a little grainy; the audio is great, however - so it's well worth tuning in to hear what Fiona has to say].
Speakers, workshop tutors, and discussion panellists at the Hampshire Genealogical Society jubilee weekend will include: David Annal, Dr Melsia Tomlin-Kraftner, Dr Janet Few, Dr Penny Walters, Paul McNeil, Joe Saunders, Dr Sophie Kay, Jackie Depelle and Dr Caroline Adams.
