UPDATE: As promised we can now reveal the url of TNA's new Archives Sector website, which is now live. It is at www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-sector.

The National Archives (TNA) has news on its website of its ‘Archives sector’ website launching at the end of this month. The website will contain information, guidance and best practice case studies for archives and aims to meet the needs of the archives sector and reflect new ways of working.

TNA formally took on the role of sector leader in October 2011, when responsibility for archives across England transferred to it from the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA). Information currently found on TNA’s Information management site under Archives Sector Development and Services to archives will be moved and found under the new, dedicated Archives sector site. We'll add a url as soon as we have it.
