Forces War Records has joined forces with the Royal British Legion with a Dedication Wall where you can upload a photograph and information on your World War I ancestor, as part of a #ThankYou100 campaign.
Posts can be shared via social sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus, directly from their submission using #ThankYou100.
How to get involved
• Upload a photograph (image of your ancestor, or suitable image of Remembrance)
• Write a short dedication
• Share via social pages and use the hashtag #ThankYou100
• Search the site for relevant records
Thank You honours not only the 1.1 million British and Commonwealth Armed Forces who lost their lives in the First World War, but also those who played their part on the home front, and those who returned to build a better life for the benefit of generations to come.
