Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will be the first celebrity to appear in the UK’s new series of Who Do You Think You Are? when episode one airs on Monday 22 July 2019.

Viewers will see the actor, who turns 30 the day after the episode is screened at 9pm on BBC One, learn dramatic details about the robbery of his great-grandfather’s jewellery business in Hatton Garden and discover a long-lost romance from the First World War involving a cache of love letters penned by his 2x great-uncle.

London-born Daniel found international fame as an 11-year-old in the blockbusting Harry Potter films, based on the books by JK Rowling. He will be joined in Series 16 of Who Do You Think You Are? by a host of other film actors and comedians this summer: Kate Winslet, Naomie Harris, Sharon Osbourne, Paul Merton, Katherine Ryan, Jack Whitehall and his father Michael, and Mark Wright.
