Noah, Charlie and James are the top three favourite unisex names in England and Wales. Other, less familar, unisex names include Arlo, Reggie and Dylan.
OnBuy.com conducted a survey with 1,466 British parents, to understand what they think about this fast-growing trend, whether they would choose a unisex name, and if they would purchase gender-neutral products for their child/children. The results revealed:
• 45% of British people would choose a gender-neutral name
• 27% of parents would choose a unisex name for their children just to follow trends
• Over 70% of Brits told by strangers that their children should wear more gender appropriate clothing
• 33% said they won’t buy unisex clothes because ‘there is a reason for gender’
