Four centuries of banns & marriage, plus more than 700,000 Roman Catholic parish records have been added to the free to use database at FamilySearch.
The new additions span the years 1557 to 1968 and focus on the Liverpool area.
Roman Catholic parish records
The first collection, Roman Catholic parish records, covers the years 1709 to 1968 and comprises 722,177 records added to an existing collection. These Roman Catholic church records were created by parishes in Liverpool and include baptisms, burials, confirmations, marriages and communicants. The collection includes digital images of microfilmed records held by the Liverpool Record Office.

Liverpool banns and marriages
Banns and marriages (1557 to 1960) comprises 534,620 marriage records from Church of England parishes and Methodist congregations in Liverpool and includes digital images of microfilmed records held by the Liverpool Record Office.
