A series of free webinars running throughout 2018 has been announced by the Guild of One-Name Studies, who will run classes on subjects including one-name studies and DNA.
A series of free webinars running throughout 2018 has been announced by the Guild of One-Name Studies, who will run classes on subjects including one-name studies and DNA.
The webinars are free and open to the public, with non-members able to watch each webinar live and for a week after first broadcast, with the classes then entering an archive accessible to members of the Guild of One-Name Studies, with the exception of the first webinar What We Do – An Introduction to One-Name Studies which will always be available.
The next webinar, Gathering Data: Where to Look and Where to put it is scheduled for 20 February with presenters Paul Featherstone & Paul Howes.
How to take part
- You should register in advance to participate and there are a limited number of spaces
- Each webinar will have a registration link (simply click on it to be taken to the GoToWebinar website). Enter your name, email address and possibly a few questions (depending on the presenter or topic) and submit your registration. You will receive a confirmation of your registration by email
- You will receive reminders before the webinar (usually 2 days and 1 hour before the webinar). The confirmation and reminder emails will have information on joining the webinar and, if applicable, accessing handout material
- On the day of the webinar, simply click on the link that you received in your invitation to join the webinar
