MyHeritage has announced that throughout each day of June, a different online record collection will be available free of charge.
More than 2,043,456,361 records (yes, that's more than 2 billion) will be made accessible for free during the month of June, as part of MyHeritage's mission to provide people with more opportunities and resources to further their genealogical research while at home.
These records, which are normally available only as part of a paid-for subscription to MyHeritage, will be accessible on free of charge full access on the day in question. The day-long window for each collection will cover all time zones, so as long as you visit the collection on the correct day, you should be able to search and view the records freely.
What records will be released?
You can see the full schedule on the MyHeritage blog here and highlights for the rest of June include:
- Canada newspapers 1752-2007 (15 June)
- England & Wales marriage index and death index 1837-2005 (21 June)
- Spain baptisms 1502-1940 (24 June)
- Greece, Corfu vital records 1841-1932 (28 June)
Access to these collections on the specified days will be completely free, but free registration to MyHeritage will be required for non-MyHeritage users.
