Easily capture and share wonderful family stories with Rakonto and enjoy those irreplaceable memories, knowing you've recorded them for future generations.
Have you ever shared or heard an incredible life story during a conversation, and immediately afterwards lamented, “I wish I'd recorded that!” Read more in this special advertising feature.
Now, with Rakonto, you can capture and share these wonderful stories, the way it’s been done for thousands of years – by simply talking. Here’s how:
Recording stories
Rakonto provides two ways for you to record stories. The first – “New Story” – allows you to record yourself, or upload recordings you already have in your possession. If you’re worried about where to start, begin by recording a story you’ve told a thousand times. You already know how to tell it. Don’t worry about chronology. You can always build a timeline later so people can view your stories chronologically.
The second is to ask others to record stories. The “Request a Story” feature is a fun way to quickly gather stories from others. You can send a short video asking Mom to record the story behind her famous chocolate pie recipe.
Ask siblings and relatives to record their favourite stories about your grandparents. Generate a QR code, display it at your wedding venue, and ask attendees to scan and record their well-wishes to the bride and groom. The possibilities are endless.
Sharing collections
Unlike social media, with Rakonto, you have complete control over sharing your collections (groups of stories). Only stories that are published are shared. And collections can be kept private, so only people with whom you share collections can view them.
